We came back from holiday and there was a message on the ansaphone to ring the kennels. She had had a heart attack in her sleep. As you can imagine we are devastated. The kennels were very nice and put Chloe in the office with them for company. We found out that she has an enlarged heart and also her hips and knees are out of alignment slightly. Poor thing she is only 3 well 4 in September. Now we have her on heart tablets and Metacam which along with healing seems to have eased her problems. thank goodness. Apparantely this is quite common in Bull Mastiffs. Anyway I am nicley settled in now and love the area. We have had lots of work done on the house however, still a couple more rooms to do then it will be finished phew! He had been very poorly for months, years in fact. He took early retirement through Emphysema caused partly by smoking. My dad lived with me for 7 years and I miss him terribly.
